The „Schulschwestern von U. Lb. Frau“ (Poor School Sisters of Our Lady) grave belongs to a catholic nunnery that since 1843 ran girls schools in Munich and still does so until now. Interesting enough, this order spread even to the (now) U.S. and also staffed schools there.

I like the relatively high-key treatment of the graveyard subject matter instead of the more common ‚gloom and doom‘ dark treatment one frequently sees.
Carl, the spring foliage helps very much in that case – the leaves are still small and a very bright green so that the whole area is suffused with light. And this complements very much my thesis that life and death belong together.
