Munich, Sankt-Anna-Straße (OSM)
„Water flows from amphorae and lion heads into bowls of various shapes. In the topmost bowl, a cross surrounds four symbolic rivers of Paradise—identified in an inscription as “Tisphon, Euphrates, Ghon, Tigris.” Romanesque stylistic elements are evident in the lion heads and the ornamental decoration. The shaft of the fountain is adorned with round arches enclosing Christian symbols; acanthus leaves emerge between the arches. Stylistically, the fountain blends harmoniously with St. Anna Parish Church, which was also built in this architectural style.“ (from https://stadtgeschichte-muenchen.de/sehenswert/d_sehenswert.php?id=3192)
Unusual is the cross in celtic style on a fountain built in 1894 in Munich.
