The blog is almost back to normal, so I hope, with the notable exception of the ‚Blogs I read‘ section, which depends on a piece of software the webhoster has not (yet) installed.
The decision to switch to another hosting company was confirmed by the number of service tickets I had sent because of problems with their database server. As I do have a thorough knowledge of the technical parts involved, my willingness to suffer from one failure after the other became smaller and smaller, until I finally decided to pull the release cord. For the moment I am positive that this was a good decision, despite of all the work involved.
