   John, Juha: these depiction of the Buddha’s eyes may be stereotypic meanwhile, but it indeed has a fascination emanation, one of the reasons may be that in our western countries that reduction to eyes is quite unusual. For me it was captivating, especially as they turned up so unexpectedly in that narrow alley, not immediately to be recognized due to the strong backlight.
