With the muted colours and the emphasis on the pool and the car this photo has such a sad and hopeless mood. Very storytelling. To me and my imagination, at least. The story of some certain social class in Krk?
Qualified guess: Someone who has earned good money in Sindelfingen and built a house as investment for the retirement… Or maybe a real estate blister, croatian style.
… but not enough money to buy a plot vast enough to accomodate the pool – looks a little bit claustrophobic.
But yes (epiphany!): could be in Germany as well.
Martina, you know for sure those administrative town planners, who have their own ideas about plot sizes… Croatia was part of a socialist country, where top-down planning probably was brought to even more than here in Germany.
