Parboiled Mopani Worms

Mopani worms – which are caterpillars in reality, see here) are a delicacy in Sambia and expensive enough to find their way only into the kitchens of the more affluent households.

Needless to say that they are served to the tourists as a kind of a dare. I myself found the taste interesting but not in any way special.
