   Ok, so I come back to catch up on what you’ve been posting and I land here as the first image, and it hits me like a ton of bricks, the contrast between the ‘fairground’ and the drab color palette and sense of decay. My goodness, I always am inspired by your images. You know, when Mike at TOP has talked about featuring print sales using the work of readers, I hope you submitted some images, because they are just amazing.

   Thanks, Chris. I don’t know how you evaluate your own images, but at last I have an amazingly hard time distinguishing the wheat from the chaff. But probably that’s part of the process.

   Yes, I did submit some images to Mike’s „non-color color“ theme, so we’ll see what will come out. In the meantime I will work on, trying to pull me out of ruts by my hair. There’s much to be done.

   Was ich an diesem Bild wirklich sehr mag ist die mehr gefühlte als nur gesehene Abwesenheit von Menschen. Hinzukommt das Spiel der blassen Farben eines bewölkten Tages, das eine Distanz zum Betrachter schafft, die auch mehr gefühlt als nur wahrgenommen ist. Das macht dieses Bild zu einem unglaublich intensiven Seherlebnis, wie übrigens jedes Bild dieser wunderbaren Serie.
