Marcus, I’m curious how you are geotagging your photos for your map location links. I’d guess you’re using a geo-logging app, perhaps on a smartphone, and then matching and tagging against the photo-made date/time. I enjoy relating the photo to the map location.
Earl, as I am working in the Survey Administration in Munich, handling geographical data is quite natural for me. Since many years I use small gps loggers (with a long battery lifetime) when photographing and match them through the timestamps and the inevitable offset of the camera clock when importing the images. Only recently I have switched to a Garmin fenix smartwatch, which I mainly use for navigating and fitness tracking when cycling. Highly recommended especially for it gps and battery liftime.
