
Carl Valentin – you see his portrait in the upper right corner – was a Bavarian artist and comedian and philosopher. His specialty was „Blädln“, a dialect word that might be best translated with „fooling around“. But Valentin’s jokes rarely were superficial jokes, most often there was some truth or absurdity behind it. For non-Bavarians almost incomprehensible, he is still an idol for many (especially elders), and so I was quite astonished to find a quote by him and his portrait as a graffiti.
