Humm, good photo but something always strikes me as not quite right about these colored-stature shrines…like a plastic Madonna on the dashboard type of thing. 🙂
Earl, I share your uneasy feelings about this kind of colored objects of faith – it’s not my style either. But I’ve learned that the Romanic cathedrals, for example in France, showed the statues we now admire in full coloring! Not that I would prefer this, but it seems that for many people colors „according to nature“ are very important, even on such figures.
