I have certainly a faible for forests. Of course you don’t find many natural forests over her outside of the national parks. What I do find interesting in those normal forests, owned by either farmers or the government, are those markings and boards, warnings or direction signs, which, once applied, are left decaying when they are not needed any more
It doesn’t take the forest long to claim those signs left behind as it’s own. The process begins almost at once and only the sign material determine how long they can resist natures forces. Another example of man’s influence being somewhat temporary when considered in the larger scheme of things.
Yeah, sometimes this re-claiming of things becomes… say, interesting. I only later discovered that it was a warning sign for an artillery shooting range. Fortunately, it was not in use at that day.
